Blackstar Architect Software
The all-new Blackstar Architect software is the interface for controlling and customising many of the advanced features of compatible Blackstar products, including CabRig. Architect empowers you to design the sound in your head by unlocking deep editing of patches and providing fine control of your amplifier from your computer. Explore features such as a searchable patch library, and the ability to backup, archive and upload entire setlists of patches to your product. When the inevitable sonic writers block strikes, Architect has a new randomise feature for both amp tones and effects, providing inspiration and a great starting point for new musical ideas.

CabRig™ Lite is our next-generation DSP speaker simulator that reproduces the sound and feel of a miked up guitar cab in incredible detail.

Impulse Response (IR) based speaker simulators are a great snapshot of a setup but they have inherent latency and potential phase issues when mixing more than one together.

Our new advanced algorithm simulates a speaker, cabinet, mic and room with incredible detail with effectively zero latency, no phase mismatch and with much more flexibility than a 'snapshot' IR.

ISF (Infinite Shape Feature)
Get the exact tone you're looking for, from USA to UK and everything in between. The patented ISF control allows you to choose the exact tonal signature you prefer. Fully counter clockwise has a more American characteristic with a tight bottom-end and more aggressive middle; fully clockwise has a British characteristic which is more 'woody' and less aggressive.

The conventional three way guitar EQ network, or tone stack (a.k.a. Bass, Middle and Treble), is a key to the characteristic 'voice' of traditional guitar amplifiers. Classic amplifier designs have their own versions of this network which leads to their own tonal voicings. The ISF control allows you to infinitely adjust the response of the tone control network between any of the traditional voicings in a way that has never before been possible. In this way you can design your own sound and truly find 'the sound in your head'.

The patented ISF control allows you to choose the exact tonal signature you prefer. What are the benefits of ISF?
ISF is a passive circuit giving a musical response that is not found in active parametric or 'contour' controls.
The whole tone stack response (i.e. Bass, Middle and Treble) is moved.
The tone controls remain fully interactive, just like in a regular tone stack.
The ISF control is continuously variable between all the traditional responses allowing you to effectively design your own sound.
ISF and 'the sound in your head' are only available on Blackstar products.

Power Reduction
Press the Power Reduction button to reduce the output stage from full power down to 1W; this means you can switch between the full power headroom and the lower 1W power at the press of a button, allowing you to play at lower volumes without sacrificing tonal quality. Perfect for home practice.
