Cort Gold-O6

The hallmark of Cort's Gold series is the Aged to Vintage (ATV) treatment that allows the Grade A+ solid Sitka spruce top to cure and open up more over time. ATV acts as a torrefaction process, giving the Gold-O6 a big, open tone that's bright, yet natural with a strong and warm midrange that's reinforced by the solid Mahogany back and sides. A sonically enhanced UV finish protects both the instrument and tonal quality.

SOLID SITKA SPRUCE TOP (MASTER GRADE)

Featuring superior strength and dense grains along with the flexibility to resonate freely, the premium grade solid Sitka spruce top on the Gold Series is ideal for virtually any musical genre with a brilliant and clear high-end, warm and rich midrange, and a deep but tight low-end for a beautifully balanced sound.

SOLID MAHOGANY BACK & SIDES

Bright yet natural with a strong and warm midrange, the beloved mahogany wood has been a standard for back and sides on premium acoustics for many decades. All-solid construction is featured on this model.

DOUBLELOCK NECK JOINT

The connection between a guitar's neck and body is another key factor for great sound. On the Gold, we started with a tight fitting traditional dovetail neck joint. We then reinforced it by adding a bolt. This Double Lock neck joint maximizes the transfer of tone and enhances resonance on the Gold.

WALNUT REINFORCED NECK

The neck on the Gold has been reinforced for added rigidity and stability using two special inserts. This is constructed with two pieces of walnut installed to add stability while still retaining the natural properties of wood to further upgrade the Gold.

EBONY BRIDGE PINS

The high density of Ebony wood keeps the fundamental acoustic sound focused and tight with greater sonic projection than plastic, enhancing the transfer of the string vibrations throughout the soundboard top, body and the neck.

GENUINE BONE NUT & SADDLE

For the most natural and organic sound and feel, there is nothing quite like genuine bone for the saddle and the nut, two critical contact points for the strings to vibrate freely and transfer that energy into the woods of the guitar.

MACASSAR EBONY FINGERBOARD

Very similar to Rosewood in both looks and sound, the Macassar Ebony produces a deep lush sound with transparent highs. The wood's detailed grains add a luxurious high-end look.

SONICALLY ENHANCED UV FINISH

The high-tech finish is strong and resistant to scratches while being lightweight to improve the natural acoustic resonance of the body for a full-bodied and rich tone.
