Very cool, very rare, this 1967 Made in Japan Kent model 836 mandolin/mandola is quite a find!
Our tech has gone over it well and set it up with new Daddario strings, etc, the knobs tuners, etc appear to be all original. The instrument shows age related fret wear as shown yet plays really well up to about the tenth fret where most players need the most- after that there are some muted notes, indicating a fret level would be necessary to make it perfect. As this is the case, obviously an instrument of this vintage is being sold as-is. The finish and styling is really something to see, and the 5 ply binding is incredible.
There are lots of lacquer cracks all over the instrument and a few marks and dings here and there as shown in the pics, and we have included a nice fitting brand new Fender padded gig bag for added protection for this collectible investment.
